Hi all , new Westfield owner here , just in process of restoring it as it’s been stored for 14 years by a family member !

can someone help with identifying the body ?

it’s got the 1100 blackbird engine I believe .

 

also does anyone recommend any companies in the south to do work on if needed ?

The factory produced a model with the BlackBird engine, the MegaBird. Not sure if your's the case, as engines were swapped in anyway, need pictures of the chassis to evaluate.

MK Sportscars work on all kind of kitcars, they are in Braintree I believe.

Define "South" it's the widest part of the country..... and depending on your view, has a random starting point as far as latitude goes.

Hi I cant offer much help with the bodywork but live in Andover. 

 

My car had been off the road for a similar amount of time to yours and had a fair amount of stuff to go through to get it back on the road, i've done it all myself just takes a bit of time though.

What year is your megabird as i have a 2009 megablade which is pretty much the same car just different engine ( fireblade ) but it's a genuine car built as megablade from day one yours probably is too but some were modified to fit bike engines mines a wide body fixed rear arch if you need any measurements let me know put some pics up of your car that will also help .

I’m not sure on age is there any easy way to tell ?

Only from home, sorry.  Most of the chassis stuff is fairly straightforward, your engine might requite a bit more specialist knowledge though.

The tub looks like a zk fixed arch 

 

Is it a genuine mega bec chassis ?

 

Take the bonnet off and take some pictures of the engine bay 

 

That exhaust manifold doesnt look like a genuine megabird manifold like more lile blade manifold to me but i have been known to be wrong
