It actually all worked out quite well as the 3rd partys insurance company were very efficient and (strangely enought) a joy to deal with. Then, as luck would have it, 2 hrs after posting the message, someone contacted me with a car of an identical spec to my old one, had almost all the mods that I was going to make and for the same money that the insurance company were settling for.
