Tvr chimaera 500. 112k miles, has good service history with main dealer records for approximately every 5000 miles throughout its life up to 96k miles. Just had a full service including all fluids, filters, full checkover, rear pads, strip and clean brakes, new front tyres and spark plugs. Full mot.

The car is registered as cat n, i run a bodyshop and  brought it with very light damage on the rear 1/4 and have fully repaired it and painted both sides and the rear end. I have all photos to show this.

The paintwork is in excellent condition, as are the wheels.

The interior is original and in good condition, shows some wear as to be expected but overall its clean

The hood looks to have been replaced recently and is excellent.

The chassis was in good condition when i brought it with no protective coatings. Its had the outriggers replaced in the past.

I gave it a good clean up and treated it with dinitrol rc 900 and dinitrol black schutz.

Under the bonnet is original and does show its age a bit, but its all there working and runs well. The underbonnet heatshielding has just been replaced.

Overall all its a clean, tidy and honest car ready to use, it drives really well. A cheap way into a 500 because of the cat marker. £11995. Would take a p/x but only if its at a trade price.

I've been considering one for a while but timing is all wrong right this minute. That should sell at that price, very cheap for a 500!

@Flying Carrot Steve they are really good to drive, a lovely summer cruiser to just enjoy and have a little prod of the torque every now and then.

I really need to go and drive one now you've said that!

I drove a  Griffith back in the 90s but from what I hear the Chim is a better tourer?

I'd like a T350T but I'm not sure about the Speed Six engine compared to a nice juicy V8! Also probably not as well suited to touring and expensive.

Chimaeras seem to be the bargain in TVR world atm. Way better value to be had than any other model.

Yes aparantley the chim is a better tourer, ive not driven a griff personally. Its certainly very comfortable and you can easily do some miles in it, the boot is massive too.

Some of the potential bills with the speed 6 and ajp engined cars would put me off too personally, also to me the ly dont really feel like a car that wants to be driven hard and the chassis are very similar to the earlier cars like mine. As mentioned they seem to be happiest just cruising with the occasional prod.  Its not the sort of car you screech round corners in hard on the brakes ect.
