Wow, who do you insure with to get that as a courtesy car - you defo didn’t tick “equivalent courtesy car on the policy!” - but seriously hope your insurance is solved quickly 🤞🙏 1 Quote

Craigieboy Posted 6 hours ago Author Posted 6 hours ago Had the insurance assessor in today to examine the car and he agrees that it requires a new chassis and body panels. He said he would try and price what the repairs would cost and then submit his report to the insurance company, so I'll just need to wait on the next update from them. 3 Quote

I meant to DM you last night, see how you are getting on mate. Are you hoping to rebuild or would you prefer the dosh and find another car? Quote
Golfboy Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Sorry to hear about you accident but glad your ok, I think if I were in your position, I would be looking to go straight to Siltech for a brand new chassis. Wait times aside, the quality is top notch 1 Quote
Rhett Turner - Black Country AO Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago If you have not already I'd be looking around to see what's available that matches the spec of your car so you've an idea of replacement cost when the discussion start. If they undervalue it as they are likely too then it increases the chances of it being a write off, a true valuation may make the repair economic. 1 Quote

Need to wait and see what they say, but a repair is out of the question and I'm not too sure about a new chassis with some new panels. The time frame could also be quite long and I wouldn't really want that, so miby the cash would be better. Just need to wait for their update. Quote

Wait times aside, the quality is top notch I wouldn't; you could loose the cars identity, for a road car you would then need to IVA again, which could all get very complicated. If the factory supplies the chassis, they can ensure destruction of the old one, and issue it on the same VIN number, not something any other company should really be legally doing.. If it doesn't have clear Westfield provenance in the form of invoices, AND looks different to a stock chassis, you may then get hammered on price when ever you eventually want to sell... Quote
