Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) Posted April 19, 2004 Posted April 19, 2004 Just taken delivery of my new brake pipe flarer from vehicle wiring products. So I rushed out to the garage, had a few practice go's, and was very pleased with the results On to the car. I now have a perfect flare on my front brake line, I turn round put the tool down , and sitting there all innocently on the bench, the bl**dy brake nut Quote

You are not the first and I stake anything on the fact that, you will not be the last. Quote
geelhoed Posted April 19, 2004 Posted April 19, 2004 I have that beat!!! Today I found out that I had put the fuel and the return line switched around. ( checked it twice but...) So When I took off the hose which was connected to the pump and the return port of the throttle body, there was a lot of pressure. I got a nice fountain, in the face, shirt and ceiling. D'OH!!! -- That's what you get when you have more IQ points than horsepower Peter Quote

Toby Mack Posted April 19, 2004 Posted April 19, 2004 reminds me of when I fitted the towbar to my Saab. Decided to crimp terminations and buzzer to the socket wiring in the comfort of my living room. Much more pleasent than with my head in the boot of the car. Then went out to the car and realised it all had to go trough a 1/2 inch grommet.... Quote
Pepi Posted April 19, 2004 Posted April 19, 2004 Now come on chaps.......who hasn't, sometime in their lives wired up a normal domestic thirteen amp plug and then found they hadn't threaded on the top first?..............and then (probably) cut through the cable hole of the top so it could be slipped over the wire without having to re-wire the whole darn thing again!!!! felters Posted April 19, 2004 Posted April 19, 2004 Saturday morning... put small coffee cup under expresso coffee maker. Phone goes in study... spend next 30 minutes mopping kitchen floor Quote
adhawkins Posted April 19, 2004 Posted April 19, 2004 Sounds similar to what someone did at work. Topped up the filter coffee maker, but didn't turn it on. Next person comes out, finds there's no coffee, and tops up the coffee maker... (it's a commercial type one so you can't see how much water is in the top reservoir). Nice mess... Andy Quote
