Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Please see below for details. Glen and I will be there from 10am for our usual area meet and there will be a run out for WSCC members after breakfast if the weather permits. The £10 charge only applies for people wanting to visit the museum. Parking, access to the cafe and toilets is free to all. Hi Julie, We would like to invite your members to an exclusive event for the owners of Lotus, Caterham and Westfield cars on June 15th here at The Great British Car Journey. Since opening in May 2021, we have been awarded a TripAdvisor Excellence Award, three Peak District & Derbyshire Tourism Awards Visit and are also a Visit England Quality Assured Attraction. Our attraction houses a collection of over 140 British cars from the early 1900s to the early 2000s. The collection begins in the early 1900s right up to the current day and there's everything in between - Austin Sevens, Minis, Morris Minors, Triumph Spitfires, Ford Escorts, etc. - marques and models that have long since disappeared from our roads but are remembered fondly by many car enthusiasts. As the name suggests, visitors experience not just a car museum but an interactive nostalgic journey celebrating the heyday of British motoring. As well as our superb collection, we offer ample on-site car parking and a licensed café - The Filling Station, which offer a range of catering options to suit all budgets, from breakfast rolls to brunch, buffets to burgers. Our themed event days such as the one on June 15th, offer the chance not only to take the museum tour at a huge discount, but visit the outside attractions, and refuel yourself in the Filling Station Cafe too. Simply click the link below to pre-pay tickets at £10 per person (usually £19.50 on the door). https://online1.venpos.net/ConsumerSite/ShowPage?LID=632&PID=f7cdb0df-93df-4ede-abef-0502633a56f3 Please feel free to share the link with your members and fellow enthusiasts. We look forward to seeing you on the day Kind regards Ian Shaw Who is joining us? 1 Quote
