Ortyn Posted May 1, 2025 Posted May 1, 2025 Just wondering this difficult to get a simple clutch release bearing for a Westfield. I thought the company still selling theese. They are not available on the site. May I am wrong the MT75 gearbox was the replacement for the type 9 but they only sell bearing for the type 9 what is much smaller. Do anyone sell one of theese? I want to reassemble my car but a simple part blocking me doing that.
Mike Rowland - Essex AO Posted May 2, 2025 Posted May 2, 2025 That seems to have an extension - discussion here about using a 19mm spacer versus moving the pivot pin to an extended one: https://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=219124 https://kitspares.co.uk/products/mt75-clutch-arm-pin 1
Ortyn Posted May 2, 2025 Author Posted May 2, 2025 Yes, Someone sent me the same info so may the longer pin could work. Today I took a closer look again and seperated the spacer from the bearing. Doing this just been using a flathead screwdriver and prying apart. It was quiet easy. Actually the spacer is a simple part, attached properly to the bearing. I ordered a replacement part from LUK and I will try the same thing with the brand new bearing (prying apart) and will reattach the spacer onto the new bearing. I am not sure if it will work but I will give it a try. Will upload the result. If it fails then I will order the new, longer pin. Many thanks for the links! 1
Ortyn Posted May 6, 2025 Author Posted May 6, 2025 Many thanks! Today I tried to clip the brand new release bearing and its been connected properly. (after I realized the back of the bearing is not the one I need to the clutch fork) So must order another bearing -exactly the same and will do it again. Should work but I was stupid and been ordering the wrong bearing. Thanks for the link anyway
Ortyn Posted May 6, 2025 Author Posted May 6, 2025 Anybody knows what part is this? found one on ebay and it says aircon evaporator Sitting on the side of the zetec...
Mike Rowland - Essex AO Posted May 6, 2025 Posted May 6, 2025 Positive Crank Vent (PCV). Connects with a vacuum hose to an oem intake plenum. You can vent it to a catch tank or remove and blank off with a plate.
MR.C Posted May 6, 2025 Posted May 6, 2025 The extension on the bearing is a tight fit (interference)looks to me like your dismantling the bearing. i made an extension for mine but never used it. The extension stops the bearing leaving the support tube (the bit that covers the main shaft)
