Drivetribe Caterham 'build'

Recommended Posts

I've just seen the entertaining new Drivetribe YouTube video of Richard Hammond and his daughter 'building' a Caterham 7.

Did they get a head start with the kit or is a Caterham more of an assembly job?

It looks like most of the car was pre-built (instruments, battery, brake lines, fuel tank, wiring, etc. etc.), and is it normal to fit most of the heavy items whilst lying beneath the car?

Just curious!

Yep. They've not been a full kit for a while. Their  assembly manuals are very nice too-

Skimming through the manual, it looks like a professional job. Must be a very straight forward build (assembly).
