Paul Baker - Bristol Bath and Cotswold AO Posted February 26 Posted February 26 Bristol, Bath & Cotswolds area, breakfast runout to The Classic Motor Hub at Bibury. Aiming to be there for soon after 10am when the Club Room Café opens. If you'd like to join us, we'll have an organised run up there, so you can join in the route along the way, or just come and meet us at the café for 10am. If anyone wants to join the run, below is a rough idea of the route I have in mind, starting at the Winford Arms (or adjacent layby) and with another pick up at the Cross Hands, then up into the Cotswolds. Once we know who's coming we can work out the times for any meets along the way. This will be my first decent runout of the year so I'm looking forward to this, I'm sure the weather will be kind... 2 Quote

Popular Post Paul Baker - Bristol Bath and Cotswold AO Posted Monday at 12:13 Author Popular Post Posted Monday at 12:13 We had a brilliant day out in the Cotswolds, great company and glorious weather. And plenty of early season car shenanigans. The alarm got me out of bed and I set off early to the first meeting point for the boys coming out of Bristol. Got a text message from Colin to say that his dead battery hadn't charged overnight as the charger had also died! So one down. Me and Rory made it to the Cross Hands to be joined by Rob and Ross, plus Dave in his lovely GTM. We then had a great run up through Tetbury, where Dave peeled off as he had other commitments, and then we headed up to the Classic Car Hub where we met Mark, Adrian, Sandra and Matthew. They'd managed to get prime position at the front and arranged a great line up for team Westfield. The Porsche club had to settle for round the back! Nigel took the owners photo. Plus a few other pics below, credit to Adrian for some of the best shots, including sneaking up onto the balcony: A great place to visit, and they did a cracking breakfast (was obviously too hungry to take a photo of that). After taking in the surroundings and some good chat, the Bristol boys headed for home. Adrian captured a cracking little video of us leaving, which is on the Cotswolds FB post. We almost made it back down to Tetbury before two of the cars decided to finish early. We pulled over to push Rob's car into a pub car park and sleep off a dead battery. Rob then jumped in mine and we made it a further half mile down the road before my alternator bracket snapped and we had to park mine in a random country lane. So the fun was extended for the rest of the afternoon with trailer action required! Easy fixes and it's all part of the fun I keep telling myself. Thanks for the passenger rides home Ross and Rory! Overall a great day out. Already looking forward to the next one. 10 Quote
Stuart Davis AO - Devon Cornwall & Somerset Posted Monday at 14:38 Posted Monday at 14:38 Nice one Paul; a great turnout and looks like you had the same fab weather as we had down here. I do like that GTM, used to want one when I was a teen 😃 2 Quote

SXRORY Posted Monday at 22:42 Posted Monday at 22:42 Was a great day out, thanks Paul for organising. Shame about the breakdowns. Venue was great! Good to meet some new members from the Cotswolds. Never really been up that way really enjoyed the roads and the scenery. Ross had me giggling with his exuberant hand signals. A great start to the season! 2 Quote
Flying Carrot Steve Posted yesterday at 11:39 Posted yesterday at 11:39 I love the Cotswold roads so am doubly gutted I couldn't be there. Wanted to try out Henry Cole's favourite road, the B4425 from Burford to Bibury and Cirencester, amongst other things. Well done again @Paul Baker - Bristol Bath and Cotswold AOon organising a great 1st blat as DOUBLE AO! 👌👌 1 Quote
