markat Posted February 15 Posted February 15 Hi,  Had a bit of an issue with a weld on my cycle bracket today which resulted in a snap and the wing getting trapped under the front wheel. I was only seconds from home too 😒. Anyone have a spare for sale please? Many thanks Mark
markat Posted February 15 Author Posted February 15 I can't really get it repaired either because I had to twist it off as I was stuck on the high street causing the traffic to back up behind me. 😕
markat Posted Monday at 12:48 Author Posted Monday at 12:48 I contacted Westfield earlier who said they don't have the tooling to make them anymore. 🫣 I'm stuffed at the moment unless I can find someone to make one locally.Â
Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO Posted Monday at 15:08 Posted Monday at 15:08 Have you called Siltech? https://www.siltechracing.com/  I'm not sure if there billet upright has the wing stay holes in the same place as yours, however they should be able to copy your good item-  1

I’m sure he could do something for you too. Andy 1

(rather than the cast aluminium uprights currently sold by the factory - wing stays for the aluminium uprights should be available no problem, but it's correct, uprights for the cast iron ones haven't been available for a long time.)  I'm not sure if they fit the cast iron uprights, but years ago, the stays made by Tiger Racing used to be popular replacements for those that had suffered broken Westfield stays. They were quite keenly priced, too, though obviously, you'd need a pair, to match.
evosteve Posted Tuesday at 10:06 Posted Tuesday at 10:06 They are different, I had to get new ones to fit the Westfield alloy uprights.

I've managed to come up trumps with a chap very local to me who says he can repair it. Thanks to all for the advice and recommendations. 3
