Naranja_Al Posted February 7 Posted February 7 I’ve just noticed that eBay have 10% off at Demon Tweeks until 9th Feb. Plenty of other retailers included too. Thought this might be of some use to someone…. 1 2 Quote
eggontoast Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Good spot. 4x Uniroyal Rainsport 5 in 195x50r15 flavour are £226.07 delivered, from the website. On ebay the same is £210.03 once the discount is applied. 2 Quote

s2rrr Posted February 9 Posted February 9 I was in Demon Tweeks on Thursday 6th to buy a replacement ITG air filter. I mentioned the discount offer seen online and was told quite directly that it wasn't available. Not particularly impressed with Demon Tweeks to be honest but guess theirs no fix. Maybe someone from Demon Tweeks would care to comment. Doubt it somehow. Bob Quote
dvd8n Posted February 9 Posted February 9 When eBay runs one of these discount promotions it's eBay that finances it, not the sellers. The sellers still receive their full asking price. D Quote

Bob I’m not in the slightest surprised. it costs a business significantly more to serve a customer over a counter and in person than it does through the internet. Quote
Naranja_Al Posted February 9 Author Posted February 9 As @dvd8nsays it is eBay’s discount scheme and therefore the sellers still receive their full price. Quote
s2rrr Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Not wishing to labour the point and understand how Ebay etc works. The sad part about the discount offer the way I saw it was that I believe the advert said 20% off Filters and a date in Feb when it finished, discount will be applied on check out. I put the item in my cart and couldn't raise any sort of discount so I ceased the transaction and called in whilst on my travels. I also couldnt find the discount offer page so it's game over. In my sad world if someone offers a deal then thats it job done, maybe I'm mistaken. Once bitten I guess but I got my filter. Quote
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted February 10 Posted February 10 I had a similar story in Eurocarparts once, getting tin top bits, web only discount - from their own web site though; so I stood in front of the guy, canceled the verbal order and ordered from the web site while he watched. Got the discount, got my bits, and could hear his colleagues in the background sniggering and calling him a tit! 1 1 Quote
Kingster Posted February 10 Posted February 10 I went to get a radiator from Advanced Radiators who are based up here. As per Dave above, pointed out the web offer. But the guy shrugged and said that was a web only delivered price and to get one off him from the same warehouse they shipped them from (that we were stood in) was dearer. Go figure. Quote
