Wheel Arches Protectors

Hi All, 

I have a (too) yellow SEW and looking to break up the bodywork with some black.

 

Has anyone made some "homemade" rear arch protectors using something like black carbon look sheet? If so, did it achieve the desired affect or is it worth spending a bit more and getting some genuine carbon protectors.

I've got "kit" bodywork and as far as I know you can't get carbon arch protectors for those. The last owner put carbon look vinyl on and it's lasted quite well. I've some carbon look vinyl and knife less tape and am planning to re-do it at some point.

I too have a (too) yellow SEiW and ended up buying a set of plastic protectors that have been attached with fixing rather that adhesive - I’ve done approx 1,000 miles so far & still look good, but my plan is to wrap them with carbon effect vinyl when needed. 

 

and the screen & roll bar are to change to Black over next few weeks 👍
