Forum instal message.

I've had a pop up message saying install WSCC forum on my phone and wondered if it's any better than just having the forum as a saved page ?

I did wonder. It only comes up when I open the forum.

Never appeared on my Pixel 7A. Or any of my previous android phones

I wondered if it was a Android friendly version of the forum. One of the other car forums I visit has the option of a desktop or android version.

It came up on my Pixel 7a a few weeks ago and I installed it. It works fine with no apparent differences from a user point of view.

Yep that's the same pop up.

Looks to me that the OS is trying to be "helpful" by putting a direct bookmark on your desktop.  Probably a setting in your browser/OS somewhere.
