I ask because I've had a hell's game trying to get mine to stay tight with the 3 grubscrews. I've worked out it's only one of them that won't stay tight. Was thinking of replacing mine with another type of gearknob I bought. It's supposed to fit on a threaded gearstick but mine isn't threaded. I had two, a round golf ball type westfield one and the one for sale, both fitted in the same way with no issues. they were a snug fit on the type 9 gear lever.
