Rob Hunter - Club Secretary
Hi, My plans have changed last minute so I'm able to get out in the Westfield! I'm heading to Curborough for about 10am if anyone fancies joining me. It's a sprint event with free spectating and the cafe is open 👍

Rob Hunter - Club Secretary
Wow, it was a hot one today! With a few of the locals at Mallory for the Really Retro meet and me changing plans at the last minute I wasn't sure if anyone would be joining me. Thankfully, James, Lee and Hedley made the trip so we had a nice line up. Minutes later we spotted a nice GBS Zero pull in.... not recognising the car, we did the normal introductions and invited Mark to park with us. I had promised a local Instagram photographer a passenger ride in the Westfield after meeting him some time ago. Terry donned his shades and jumped in for a bit of hooning on the roundabouts of the adjacent industrial estate, he loved it and now understands what makes our little lightweight cars so much fun 😂 We wandered down the paddock to fund it full of interesting cars, hot hatches, Westfields, Caterhams, Minis, Escorts and a load of Austin 7 Specials. It was now a gazillion degrees Celsius so we headed home for lunch. As James was going in a similar direction we took the opportunity to head to the quiet B roads to stretch the legs.... James' newly supercharged MX5 engine certainly gets a wriggle on, hanging on really well in the mirrors!
