Could i be pointed in the right direction please. Cheers and Thanks
scott_prelit now westfield_bumble
I used a polo rad on my prelit with no issues. Loads of posts on here about using polo rad
Kingster
There’s more than a few “polo rads” available so in answer to the inevitable “which one exactly” question… VOLKSWAGEN POLO 1.0 1983 TO 1990 with 380mm CORE I used a local firm Advanced Radiators and bought their VW302. I doubt you will come across a hood for a pre-lit though?

Less rocking horse droppings and more like Trojan horse droppings. Best off going to a firm to make a custom one for you.
Steve G.
Hi, nice looking car. I've just fitted a new radiator to my 92 SE. It was originally fitted with a modified Cortina radiator. I assume the Polo rad has mounts on the chassis to match so when a Polo one was suggested I was put off as the chassis mounts would need to have been modified. I bought an alloy radiator of similar dimensions to the original from Radtec. The main difference with this is that the outlet pipes are angled to suit the layed back mounting position. Probably worth working out what radiator yours has and go from there. I wanted to keep mine close to original spec but felt the benefit of having a slightly thicker core might be a good idea. Radtec also offered to repair my original rad.
rory cooper
Thanks to all for the great advice. I`ll need more fixings for the hood and for the doors as there`s none at the hood corners next to the bottom edge of the doors. I might be stuck with the hood for the time being, but that`s ok for now. Up on North Uist, it might be the most out there Westfield?
