Ferrari, Lamborghini and Pagani museums

Just wondering if anyone has visited these museums.

One of my mates I drive with was planning a driving trip over, however he's never done a Euro trip before and underestimated the distances involved and it's now been binned.

My preferred option was always to fly over to Bologna and hire a car anyway.

Ideally it would be a 2 night trip, depending on favourable flight times from Edinburgh. So probably do 2 museums on one day leaving the third for our last day.

Would this be enough time to see the sights?

We did both Ferrari musuems and Pagani last year - see here-

Pagani, you only need to allow a few hours unless you book the factory tour in advance.

We did both Ferrari musuems easily in a day. (seperate locations- Modena and Maranello, about 20km apart) - you can buy the tickets together from their website.

We didn't go in the Lamborghini museum, just parked outside on our way out of Modena as we'd got a long drive ahead. A car friend who's visited suggests it's not as good as ferarri given they've not got the same racing pedigree as Ferarri etc.

We'd not be driving that far into Italy again! too hot, poor roads, traffic etc. The dolomites and around Lake Garda is much better in a Westie.

We didn't actually drive from Modena to Ferarri due to traffic and very wet weather, so missed the opportunity of a photo outside the Ferarri factory etc.

Brilliant Ian, thanks.

I'll have a read at that later.

If/ when we do go, Lambo will be a deffo as the Miura was my poster car when I was a boy.

I’ve been to Ferrari and Lamborghini, but not Pagani. Definitely worth seeing. I drove out in my 944, which took a day and half, but obviously flying and then hiring a car would be quicker.

I also visited the Lambo factory in the late 1990’s, before the Audi takeover. All very relaxed, and I was allowed to wander about and take some snaps.

A few years later, back in the UK, I bought a used Diablo in a unique light blue colour, and when re-visiting the snaps from my factory trip, found some showing that very car on the production line. A very happy coincidence!
