Shower cap

Given the unreliability of the current weather, I’d like a decent, but not too expensive, easily fitted shower cap for my wide bodied Westfield…..not for travelling purposes, just shelter from any downpour.

Any recommendations please?

Softbitsforsevens have good feedback. Their lead times aren't the best as they're a small business and make most things to order though

+1 for the SFBS shower cap. Fits well and comes with a neat bag that goes behind a seat (in my car at least!).

I recently got a SBFS storm cap in preparation for a trip North. Not used it yet, just trial fit and it is a very good fit. Think I waited about 2 weeks for it, much quicker than the half hood.

If anything I just wish the material came down past the windscreen and covered the two vents at the scuttle panel to stop rain water getting in.

Having said that I'm glad I've got it. 👍

Sadly they've shut the business, so these are only available second hand now.

This is my SBFS storm cap.

it was used for when my car was demoted to the drive for 3 months last autumn.

3 months out of the garage! Shame on you :d

Did you have any issues with water ingress through the bonnet vents at the scuttle, or should I not be concerned?

Just thinking about the fuses mainly, now that I've sealed the scuttle with silicone.

This is what replaced the car for 3 months.

I had another cover over the bonnet to protect the engine compartment but the engine block and alternator show surface corrosion. I have had to repaint the black bonnet vents.

My wife would like me to move into the garage aswell 😆

All joking aside, shame you've had some repairs to make afterwards, can't image redoing the vents was easy.
