Dracoro Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 Currently have an open boot with rac roll bar. This is how the car has always been. How easy is it to fit some sort of tonneau so that I can put stuff in the boot without having to strap it to the roll bar? thanks in advance. Quote
adhawkins Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 You could always use a full tonneau, roll up the passenger compartment bits, either put them in the boot, or behind the seats. Like this: Andy Quote
Dracoro Posted March 30, 2004 Author Posted March 30, 2004 I saw a nice tidy fix on the below link(scroll down to where it says 'finished installation on my/simons car', although it 'looks' like it's sealed the boot! http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepag....bar.htm hope it's ok to link the above site Quote
adhawkins Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 That's Steppenwolf's site. There are links to it all over this boardroom. I don't think he has a boot box, that's just to cover the hole that would be there... I could be wrong though. Andy Quote
adhawkins Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 Ah, there goes that theory then It'd be a good solution if it did though! Andy Quote
Blatman Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 My tonneau would work with a box too. It makes no difference, unless you have a boot with a lockable lid....... Quote
adhawkins Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 If you have a lockable lid, you don't need a boot cover... Andy Quote
adhawkins Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 Looks like I'm not the only one with memory troubles Andy Quote
neilwillis Posted March 31, 2004 Posted March 31, 2004 What you need a boot for Dracoro, going shopping in it? Quote
Dracoro Posted March 31, 2004 Author Posted March 31, 2004 Mike Sei-W - that's the sort of thing that would be good. Don't think I've got the poppers to attach such a thing to though. How much are these tonneaus? where can I get one (& what do I need to fit it?) neil - yeah yeah Basically there's no drain holes in the boot box so I can either drill a hole at the bottom (to stop it filling up with water when raining) or have the boot cover to put overnight stuff in when I have a passenger etc. Anyway, I have the Omega for shopping. Bit of an overkill though as it's got a massive boot and I only shop for one Quote
timd Posted March 31, 2004 Posted March 31, 2004 Ring the factory - they sell 'em. Think they're called half tonneaus.. You'll need a drill and rivet gun to fit the poppers to the tub, and either a proper tool for fitting the poppers to the cover, or a centre punch and a hammer! Quote
