Glen_I Posted March 28, 2004 Posted March 28, 2004 Hi, Has anyone been through SVA with all the interior panels exposed, i.e. no trim/carpet...... or i will i have to get some edging trim to finnish of edges along the top of transmission tunnel and will i have to fit Handbrake gaitor to cover edges on Handbrake lever?? Does the 3.5mm min radius (is this correct??) go for the whole vehicle, inside as well as outside?? Glen. Quote
martin17 Posted March 28, 2004 Posted March 28, 2004 Hi Afriend of mine has just taken his car for sva without carpets and had to file a 2.5 mm radius on all exposed panels he also had 3 examiners and it lasted 4.5 hrs 2 trainees done at derby hope this helps but doesn't scare you. Quote
Tigger Posted March 28, 2004 Posted March 28, 2004 I beleive it's 2.5mm and yes it does apply to inside and out. Put rubber trim on anything you can, radius it or cover in some way. Tigger Quote
Leon B Posted March 29, 2004 Posted March 29, 2004 I went through SVA a couple of weeks ago, no interior panels on mine. Most of the chassis tube has the required radius on, there's only a couple that need something. Im using pipe lagging covered in vinyl, the inspector told me I couldnt just use lagging it had to be covered. Quote

Tigger Posted April 3, 2004 Posted April 3, 2004 I lagged my tubes too but covered with vinyl just in case so there was no arguments. Best be safe than sorry and it only took 10 mins to do! Quote
