Naranja_Al Posted Sunday at 16:51 Share Posted Sunday at 16:51 So my mate bought BenD’s old Mazda 1600 SDV which he had removed in the week to run 240bhp, wow what a difference it has made it the car. He’s managed to blow the plastic intake plenum up though now the boost is higher, need to contact BenD to see if he knows where he got the plenum from or if he has his old plenum still. DM me if you can help, thanks. Old plenum New plenum that has blown up

Richard (OldStager) Posted Sunday at 17:29 Share Posted Sunday at 17:29 I do hope none of the plastic got ingested, I know it's only plastic but will smell dreadful if it makes its way past the valves , hope a replacement can be found that's a bit more up to the job as they say. Naranja_Al Posted Sunday at 18:01 Author Share Posted Sunday at 18:01 We don’t think any plastic went in the intake. We had to limp it home as an NA car, seemed to drive ok. If anything I think it sounded better!🤣
Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO Posted Sunday at 18:07 Share Posted Sunday at 18:07 I think they were made by Luke a Playskool, but they stopping trading. I’d suggest an alloy item will handle boost better. I’m sure I’ve seen something at GBS.

I'd like to be able to see my blue Vernier pulleys. Seems a shame to not have them on display

Kingster
Ben doesn’t have the old plenum. The see through one came from PlaysKool and was made for a supercharged Duratec running a lot more power. PlaysKool no longer exists, but I can ask Nick if he knows anything.
