josh.j.
Westfield XI for sale. REDUCED PRICE £17000 Registered 2015 IVA’d by Westfield in 2015 Currently MOT’d until May 2025 Polished Westfield Racing Green with red interior. 1275cc Ivor Searle Engine. Reconditioned Ford 5 speed type 9 Gearbox (as supplied by Westfield). Reluctant sale after ten years of ownership (kit purchased in 2014). This car was constructed over 2014/2015 being completed and IVA tested successfully in October 2015. It is correctly registered as a Westfield and also registered with a period number. The chassis is a spaceframe like the original. It is clad in aluminium lower panels with the remainder of the body in polished gel coat fibreglass. Power is provided by a 1275cc BMC A Series engine taken from an MG Midget transmitting through the excellent Ford Type 9 five-speed gearbox to a MG Midget back axle. The Westfield is finished in polished Westfield Racing Green with a contrasting dark red interior. Since completion the car has covered 15833 miles (including two trouble free trips to France). Other features include 13 inch Minilite-style wheels, a dark red tonneau cover to match the seats, racing mirrors, period steering wheel and racing type harnesses. There is a small history file containing a Builders Guide, MoT Test Certificate (valid until May 2025), V5C and a sales brochure. Out on the road the Westfield is a a lot of fun to drive with exceptional steering, handling and braking as you would expect. As the car weighs very little, the 1275cc A Series engine provides ample performance. This is a nicely constructed car with some thoughtful touches, and will provide a huge amount of fun for the next owner. One minor point - there are two small spider web stress cracks on front LH wing (both about the size of a 50p coin - see photo) The car is located in Cornwall. I am hoping that the car will go to a Westfield enthusiast, who can further enjoy the Westfield XI experience. Price now reduced to £17000 - open to sensible offers Edited June 13 by josh.j.
