Peak District trip out on SATURDAY 18th May starting Matlock McD

Our leader @Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative is on holiday again but I still need my Westfield fix so does anyone else fancy getting together for a bit of fun??

Meet at Matlock McD (DE4 3AU) for their excuse for a coffee and a tyre kick at 10am and then off on the small roads to The Rambler Inn, Edale (S33 7ZA) for a hearty lunch. 
If anyone is still with us, after lunchheading to The Fountain Tea Rooms, Bonsall (DE4 2AA) to top up with cake before setting off home. 
Weather forecast seems ok so who is coming??

In a slight diversion to the norm, if anyone wants a gpx copy of the route for their TomTom, I’ll try to post it on the forum nearer the time. 
Obviously weather dependent.

A small but very select group of us ventured out in the sunshine for a brilliant day in the glorious Peak District in our 7 style cars - two Westies and one roaring Tiger. 
I met up with @Jakejmagee with Laura at McD in Matlock and the sun decided to make an appearance. 
We took an ‘adventurous’ route to The Ramblers Inn at Edsle via the famous Winnates Pass where we were joined by @Chris Emm and Mo. 
After a lovely lunch we took to the small roads again and drove to The Fountain in Bonsall for the traditional Peak District cake top up.

Not exactly ‘on the doorstep’!! Takes me nearly 2hours to get to the starting point 😁. Average mileage on a trip to the Peaks is just over 200. Left home at 7.30am (much to the disgust of my neighbours) and returned at 6.30pm. Plenty of smiles to the gallon.
