Mad Matt
Whats happening in sleepy Somerset then?Search didn't turn up much and of all the old editions of Westie World I inherited when i bought my car last September I don't think the Somerset Area has posted a single report.I must try to get to a monthly meet to see what (if anything) is happening .I'm sure someone will be along to tell me that ZummerZet is ALIVE AND KICKING. adhawkins
Matt Seabrook is the South West AO. The area website is here. Oh, and Matt, the link in your sig is wrong (there's a 't' missing ). Andy
Blatman
Cornwall is a loooong way from Somerset. Bristol would be nearer, with Chelt/Glos beaing next nearest, I would have thought.........
adhawkins
Wasn't sure how far the 'South West' area stretched up this way. In that case, then yep, Bath / Bristol is probably the closest area. Andy
DickieB
Bath is in Somerset..................
markcoopers
Bath is in Somerset.................. Avon for those of us with roots in the area. It will never truly be Somerset. Although north east Somerset council control, and Kennet and Avon local council and one other controlling council does confuse the picture a bit......you work it out. Bath was in Somerset before Avon ever existed... Avon was invented in the 1974 Local Government Boundary Changes. The youth of today... spell in the army... never did me any harm... wanders off to see if the bar is still open...
DickieB
Felters You beat me to it. Never did like living in Avon. Always used to get mail addressed to Bath, Somerset right up until they got rid of Avon. And now no-one uses BANES funnily enough, back to Somerset again....
