Hope you enjoyed it, but you take the Westy? I decided against it as the weather forecast wasn't great, and sure enough it did rain. I've taken Westy in previous years and parked up in the vicinity, but not this time. It's worth calling in if you have a spare hour (that's legitimately all the time it takes) but I wouldn't drive a long way for it. The was a mix of classics, yanks and modern classics. Interestingly they do seem to get new cars every year so it's not just always the same cars. 1 Quote

Matt_S Posted September 28 Posted September 28 A few of us have come to watch the rally stages at Castle Combe Circuit today. Here’s a couple photos of my favourites so far. 8 Quote
Craigieboy Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Went to see a private car collection yesterday in Glasgow. Amazing to think it's all one man's cars. There must've been £100 million on display yesterday and apparently there are another two storage facilities! They were packed in which meant some pretty special cars were hard to see and they were all in immaculate condition. Sorry its a bit photo heavy. 5 Quote

I had no idea such a thing existed in Scotland. We're the tickets reasonable 1 Quote

We're the tickets reasonable Yes the tickets were only £10, but sold out within hours. It was really remarkable, the number of cars combined with their condition was unreal. Never seen a Maclaren Senna before and never will again and the carbon on the Pagani was unreal too. If they do it again I'll definitely try and go back. 1 Quote
scott_prelit now westfield_bumble Posted September 30 Posted September 30 @Craigieboyi would of had a drive up had I known of such a collection existing. Registered my email incase they do it again some time in the future. Looks like a great day out 1 Quote

It won't disappoint, we kept repeating ourselves about the condition of the cars, way better than any museum I've been at. A few more to whet your appetite. 1 Quote

Alex Gaskin Posted September 30 Posted September 30 I know it’s a little ‘cheaty’ due to my line of work, but had the pleasure of working on this at the weekend during the Spa 6 Hours. Finished a slightly disappointing 8th (got 3rd last year), but a great week/weekend of motorsport! 6 Quote
Alex Gaskin Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Whilst the GT40 was a bit of a one off, my ‘regular’ cars were the Cooper Bristols and a Cooper T43. We were lucky that the sun came out for the race on Saturday! 9 Quote
