Don't see many of those these days. A very good Caterham.  More than 450bhp/tonne and handles superbly. Could apparently outperform an R500 on the road!

Thanks Steve. Has wishbones all road instead of the de Dion rear axle from what I read, plus many other upgrades.

I think the CSRs look mega but have read of a propensity for the chassis/suspension mounts/etc to crack/fail, which doesn't seem great.

Nice Exige 390 Sport on the M3 this morning. I don’t know there were versions with this much power.

The 390 actually had 397 hp, apparently.

3.8sec 0-60, so fast, but not crazy. About the same as a 5 seat, 2 tonne electric SUV these days.

Interesting day today heading home from Dartford to Crewkerne. Two McLarens spotted, one identified as an Artura V6 PHEV S-A from the reg, didn’t see what the other was.

Nearer home, an Ariel Atom which are fairly common near me given the location of the factory.

Nice Triumph TR6 for me this morning on the way in. It appeared to be one which has been entered into competitions of some sort, white roundel and driver and navigator names on the side. I didn’t catch them clearly, perhaps Bryan Green as driver?

Some info and pictures of this car here from when it was sold previously.

Oh, l'm a long time fan, my first 4 wheeled car was a MK3 Spitty, The simplicity of it has never left me. straight forward to work on and even today spares are plentiful .

ETA

With a bit of luck, this should be mine by the end of the day... Got from the classic car club on the Wirral I am also in.

I went to the gaydon gathering last night, all sorts of vehicles in attendance plus they got a prototype D-type out the museum and gave it a blast up and down the road. Think this sums up the vast range ...20240514_181744.thumb.jpg.e5598a7c7d0f3089f197ef54b85346cf.jpg
