I have successfully opened the box, examined all parts and bought the correct red colour paint, but actual construction hasn’t commenced yet.

In my defence, my son has started building a hornby model railway and he’s roped me into helping with that over the last few months 

Don't feel bad @Paul Baker, my son bought me a 'build your own V8' model engine with moving parts about 5 years ago. It's still in its box unopened 😂
