My next build - a Lotus Super 7

The mrs dragged me in to hobbycraft this afternoon but I did find this and couldn't resist! Going to try to build it quicker than the two years it took me to get my Westfield on the road 🤪

A great little model. I've built a few, mostly modified into Westfields.

I never did fully complete mine, its still in a cupboard somewhere, the full size item kind of needed sorting out first, lol. . Love your 3D scan as well, not sure a scanner could handle my scan, mind you being built like a match stick I would not use much of a roll...

This appears to be my last posted image, it fell from here and broke the upright , it wasn't finish as I still wanted to make a removeable soft top which I started but never finished.

That's about the only Westfield I'd consider building these days,  too old to be rolling around on a garage floor

You and me both @Flying Carrot Steve, can't even work in the engine bay for more than an hour at a time, took me 3 days to change the oil ( and that's not a joke) . I must get back to that model at some point. Was fun, although I did struggle with the really small bits mostly due to old prescription glasses, got new ones since then so should be better.

@Paul Baker Any developments on this ?, unless you have a post over on build diaries that I haven't come across yet ?.

Very little progress to report!

I have successfully opened the box, examined all parts and bought the correct red colour paint, but actual construction hasn’t commenced yet.

In my defence, my son has started building a hornby model railway and he’s roped me into helping with that over the last few months

Maybe a project for those rubbish winter evenings then, do start a thread in the Build Diary section, we love seeing photos, and as many of us here have built them before if you have questions one of us will know ( will be Robin we all know that - he is the expert it seems from all the models he has shown me previously, LOL) Hope the train set up goes well, reminds me of my own childhood...
