predawson Posted March 16, 2004 Posted March 16, 2004 I sure there are many opinions on what the best wheels are. How stiff they are Vs weight, road or track etc... so based on this short summary of my requirements can anybody recommend a set of wheels and tyres. It is tempting to go for the same size/spec as Westfield's own alloys but these are probably a generic size than are suitable for all cars regardless of power or intended use. My car Summary, please advise Pinto engined therefore looking to save weight where-ever possible 160 bhp Mostly road use Thanks in advance for your recommendations Quote
felters Posted March 16, 2004 Posted March 16, 2004 Best to start with what size to go for. A 13" wheel with 185/60 tyres will do fine for your car IMHO. Wheels and tyre is a very contentious subject - personally I like the more traditonal look and have K&N Minators with Yoko A021's. But do a search and have a look at George Polleys web site. Give him a call even... good luck! Quote
nlash Posted March 16, 2004 Posted March 16, 2004 I have some wheels for sale here that were fitted to my Seiw. They are offset 20 and filled the arches just nicely, see below. Not the lightest wheels available by any means but not the heaviest either at 13kg per wheel and tyre. Quote
oioi Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 square ones. round ones are really old fashioned and not to be bothered with Quote
stevio Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 ....pssstt.....'dont say you might go for 17's..........you'll get linched' Quote
scruffythefirst Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 Whats wrong with 17's? They look good, make the car go faster, everyone's a winner Scruffy Quote
