Run to the Sun, North. 22nd June.

Yes, I know it's 5 months away, but I'll get this in now so everyone has plenty of notice!

Normally, the Yorkshire midsummer Run to the Sun takes us over to the east coast but this year we will be heading north on Saturday 22nd June.

As the Long way North run is on the same weekend, we will meet up with everyone at Scotch Corner and grab something to eat there.

The route and times have yet to be arranged, but we will be avoiding the A1 as much as possible.

Let's hope that we can get a good number of cars on the day.

Route planning in progress.

Meeting at the Motorist, Lennerton Lane, Sherburn in Elmet, LS25 6JE at 2pm, heading off at 2:30.

Taking the B1222 towards York, then the A64 for a short while.

A1237, ring road, to the A19 to Thirsk.

A168 to Northallerton, then A167.

It gets tricky here! B1263 to Catterick, but turning off on to some unmarked roads towards Moulton, Middleton Tyas and Scotch Corner.

It's about 70 miles and should take 2-2 half hours.

Thanks to all who came today. The route up to Scotch Corner wasn't quite how I'd planned, at least we didn't hit the A1.  Same going home, but the run through Ripon and Harrogate made a change.

We passed a white Martini striped Westfield coming through Wetherby, anyone here?
