Dracoro Posted March 8, 2004 Posted March 8, 2004 Where can I get the noise levels tested on my Westie? I'm pretty sure it'll be OK at most tracks but it'd be handy to 'know' before booking and travelling to find out it's too loud etc. Would a local policeman/garage/mot station have one? Quote
mb893 Posted March 8, 2004 Posted March 8, 2004 Would a local policeman/garage/mot station have one? Doubt it... Try popping along to your nearest track and see if they'll do you a favour? Where in the world are you? I've got a noise tester... Quote
mb893 Posted March 8, 2004 Posted March 8, 2004 I'm in South Croydon I just re-read your other post If you can get along to the Surrey WSCC meeting this coming Sunday I'll be there with the trusty noise level meter (and my new Turboblade - as long as it's not raining). John Quote
conibear Posted March 8, 2004 Posted March 8, 2004 I'm pretty sure Steve Broughton at SBD in Tolworth has got one now, alternatively you can hire one from Caterham Cars for the day, about £15.00 I believe. I'm trying to source a sound meter at the moment on the cheap, if i'm succesful I'll let you know as i'm in Epsom Ian Quote
adhawkins Posted March 8, 2004 Posted March 8, 2004 One of the track day companys (Bookatrack?) will also hire one, about a tenner I think. Andy Quote

neilwillis Posted March 9, 2004 Posted March 9, 2004 You can buy one for £39.99, so why not get together as an area, and buy one between you. It'll save lots in the long run, and will always be there when it's needed. I suggest you get onto your AO, and point him at the link on another thread here - do a search etc etc. Quote
mb893 Posted March 9, 2004 Posted March 9, 2004 I suggest you get onto your AO, Surrey.... and I've already got one Surrey members can have a use of at the regular meetings Quote
