It seems to be accompanied by a lowering of speed limits on other roads whenever any work is done on them. Motorway speed limits seem to be getting lowered to 50 by stealth. D The difference in wales is there is a blanket change , in the rest of the uk built up area with street lights and no speed limit repeater signs is 30mph unless there is a different limit signed , In wales built up area with street lights and NO SPEED LIMIT REPEATER signs is 20 mph so nothing to remind drivers the limit is different . The labour party in wales has already announced that they intend to have a maximum speed on any road of 50mph and most of the M4 in wales is 50 mph .
