Uttoxeter Meet - 930am 9th September 2023

Hi,

 

A few of us are meeting some of the NWKCOG gang at their last stop before their JCB factory tour.

 

We will meet at 915-930 at the Starbucks (Uttoxeter Bypass, Uttoxeter ST14 5AA) for a brew and meet the convoy.

 

Once we've seen them off we will head a few miles south to Cobwebs Cafe (19 Goose Ln, Abbots Bromley, Rugeley WS15 3DF) near Abbots Bromley for 1030am.

 

If we have time we may also head to Blithfield Reservoir for a photo or two.

Change of plan, parking is an issue at Cobwebs so we are heading to The Honey Pot at Rosliston for 11am

Fun little meet up this morning with NWKCOG.

 

Steve, Paul, Lee, Gary and myself landed at Uttoxeter services early and grabbed a coffee in the glorious sunshine.

 

Within half an hour we had 20 kits scattered around the car park including the NWKCOG Jalopy with that had dragged its exhaust through the car park.... Rarely does that car do a journey without some mechanical calamity 😂

 

There was a brilliant line up of Fury, Ultima, Cobra, Tiger, Westfield, MK, Marlin, MEV, SVE etc

 

 

 

 

A quick chat with Trev and some of the other guys we know and they were off to the JCB Factory.

 

 

 

We had originally planned to go to Cobwebs but as it was later than we expected we were concerned about the limited parking there so changed plans and headed to the Honey Pot.

 

A quick route was planned for some lovely B roads through Marchington, Barton under Needwood and Walton on Trent and we headed off.

 

40 mins in the cars and we were glad of some shelter from the sun in the cafe.... it seems September is the new July!

 

 

 

We all polished off a lovely all day breakfast but didn't have room for cake 😂
