Sean65
Hi all. I have just purchased a nice little Westfield SE with a 1.6 crossflow on 45s. All looks well. Just needs a little bit of tlc, fettle and maybe a few mods or changes soon. Especially the wheels. Apart from that I am looking forward to ownership and no doubt boring you with many a mundane questions for which I apologise in advance.

Sean65
Thank you for the welcome. I am in Cannock, so south Staffs I was waiting to pick the car up to take some better photos but I have a few. It now has a bespoke removable hardtop but will need to get hold of a proper soft top or tonneau to stow in the boot

We’ve all been there! 😄 Exactly this, I can guarantee that every single one of us had to either ask or be told/shown anything you may ask about fixing or changing the car, at some point. It may have been decades ago on something ancient, or it may be recent learned on a Westfield. There is never shame in asking, remember, the hardest part when new or inexperienced at something is not knowing what you don't know. Asking up front lets others fill those gaps in, too. And don't worry if you don't know names for stuff, or which parts you have, as a member, it's easy to upload photos, (and we love photos) to the forum; someone will usually be able to help advise what things are! Sean65
Thank you for the welcome all. Much appreciated. It’s always nice to know where there are local people. I will try not to be too mundane. Lol My mate had an SE, now on Ginettas and a Stratos.
Sean65
Well I picked up the SE and drove back from Stoke in the pouring rain. Handling a bit leary but who knows if it has been set up properly. Engine seems well out of tune but again who knows when last tuned. Receipts and folders many from Westfield suggest engine maybe a 1600GT do need to check numbers. Possibly a Kent A2 fast road cam. it may all just need a good clean of carbs, reset tappets and general fettle. All hopefully straight forward enough.
