Expansion Tank Fiesta

I can see this has been asked for many times but just in case someone has a spare I'm  looking for one of these.I believe its from a Fiesta Mk2 .

I also need this, I see on the newer cars an other type of expansion tank, what alternative part(s) can be used on a 2.0 L (Zetec) ?

Hmm, I'm in the market for one of these tanks, having noticed a crack in mine the other day. They seem to be like hens teeth though! Unless you want to get one from Europe for well over a hundred pounds... Seems a while since they were available. 

 

I'm sure something else could be fitted but I'd like to avoid the faff of drilling a new mounting paattern, potentially extending hoses, etc.

They're no longer made hence the rarity. Anything you get will be old and risks being brittle. There's a few specialist alloy tank manufacturers out there who can probably match, mount and hose positions but at a cost...

Thanks @Euan Hoosearmy. I've gathered as much. I'm sure I'll find an alternative, modern bottle to use. Keen on plastic though, for ease of level viewing.

That looks to be a nice piece and the compatability assurance would be good but wow, I am not in a position to get that spendy at present.

Just had a look at the fitted Fiesta tank and the mounting is not the same pattern as this pro alloy aftermarket tank. 

The ali bracket on the nearside does look like it'll support the Corsa/Combo tank Westfield now supply, though. Will need to reroute the catch can plumbing, mind.

What size of coolant tank is appropriate, for a 2l Duratec? Coolant doesn't expand that much, based on volume of system and expansion of water. Only about 100ml for 6l (approx system volume) going from 20 to 100 degrees.

I've just done the same and fitted that corsa one off ebay.  Had to drill a new hole in the scuttle and the corsa one has 2x small infeeds on the top. Done about 500mile no issue

Thanks for the feedback @westfield_bumble. I noticed the two input feeds and also that on the WPS listing one just seems to have had a small bolt screwed in to it. I understand this is often done on Polo radiators quite often, but it doesn't seem best to me!

I used both as i have a return fron the radiator to the header and also one from the thermostat. You could always jubilee an end cap on if not using both
