Crash test dummy
Looking for an Escort MK1 or MK2 steering rack (or racks). Must be genuine Ford with the bolted on covers but any condition will do as it's going to be rebuilt. What have you got gathering dust please? Is there a particular reason you want an old one rather than a new one from somewhere like Rally Design?
Crash test dummy
No it's not Barry. The reason for wanting an old one is that they can be rebuilt with quality Quaife QR internals for the same money as a Rally Design version.

Ok, just to explain, I have a mate on another kit car forum and his handle is crash test dummy 👍😂 I've been thinking about changing my steering rack for a faster one, is it an easy enough job? Crash test dummy
Yes, very simple job if you have access to a ball joint splitter. The most difficult part will be getting things lined up again but if your are careful with measuring and marking it won't be a problem to get it good enough to get you to somewhere or someone that can get the alignment spot on for you.
