Hand signals for blats

This looks a good idea, how do we translate it into cars? e.g. It's not so easy to point at the fuel tank when strapped in and visibility of both arms isn't so good in a car compared to a bike?

I'm sure our very creative @HB46443 can come up with something-

It might need to be simplified a bit. As you say, the occupants are less visible, but it would be useful when you have a lot of cars in convoy. I would find it useful to have a set of agreed principles for group driving written down and some recognised signals would be great. I find it quite stressful driving towards the back of the pack compared to the front, and even now after many years I still worry that I haven't done all I should have to keep everyone together.

We used to use similar signals when I used to do group bike rides.

In a car, you can use your right hand to make the signals as you don’t need to keep it on the throttle 👍

From what Russ says, you don't know where the throttle is in a car 😉

Some reading for you, there's also a really good post in the archives from @Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO re the the use of WhatsApp Live Location for runs.
