Police Speed drones

Not sure if many picked up this new development for catching drivers out. 

 

Now I am not condoning excess speed but once again it appears that the drivers and motorcyclists are being targeted once again as having fixed cameras and visible vans is no longer enough. 

 

I try not to break limits but as we all know it is easy to stray over on a long empty road in beautiful and unbuilt area with little traffic and good sight lines, where NSL have been reduced, now this is exactly the type of road these drones were used on in Devon and Cornwall over the last Bank Holiday. 

 

As always it is about safety, just a heads up

The welsh government will love these, anything to make driving more expensive and force people onto the government owned public transport . anyone driving in wales from september has to remember that 30mph will become 20mph everywhere.

Wouldn’t it be better if they put their money to proper use i.e crime prevention, drug crime, human trafficking…..rather than easily penalise Joe Public!

luckily drone battery life will limit flight time and they still need a traffic car or speed trap to get your speed, so I'd not worry too much yet. Also if you come out into the peaks with us, we've often got too much cloud cover 😉

The motorist is a easy target with money to pay fines. It's one wonder they the easy option!
