Actually, most cats may, or may not, agree to your sharing their house with them. Your antipathy, Mr.C, will be reciprocated by the cat.

Our dog catches mice in the house from time to time, if that helps.

 

Especially if I assist him by moving furniture out from the wall, with a board at one end and him at the other.
