Matt_S
Anyone know where I can get my battery terminal repaired/remoulded? The battery is off my motorhome, I had some issues with it starting and on investigation found this. It would be a shame to waste a good battery as it’s only a couple years old. Jim RS
With my construction equipment I often had issues with battery terminals. Simple solution was to clean off the top of the terminal and carefully drill a hole into the remaining good part of the terminal. Change the battery connection to the flat type ones and fix to the battery using a large diameter hex head self tapper screw (preferably the ones with deep parallel threads) and washer, remember not to overtighten. Once done keep checked on a regular basis but I have had very few failures with this method in hundreds of applications.
Matt_S
So a few calls later I have found a company fairly local to me that remould the terminal. Whipped it up to them and they’ve repaired it, now it’s looking like new again! The company is The Battery Centre - Bridgwater if anyone is looking for the same service 👍🏼

evosteve
Nice to see there are still some specialists out there. Not seen that done since the days of battery and radiator shops.
Alan Cutler (Adge) - Dorset AO
Glad you’re sorted Matt. Bridgwater Battery centre is my “go to” place for all things battery, etc. Guys there are always helpful and provide an old school service. Over the years have found they always like to logically check things out rather than just sell/fit new batteries.
