Anyone doing Gurston April 29th & 30th,

 

I am  thinking of putting a entry in as is my local hill as I have only ever watched before.

Does anybody know when Gurston is "open" from on Friday 28th, so I can get there early get car car off trailer etc and set up camp.

They usually are, we’ve always gone on the Friday 👍🏻

For the last meeting on their web site it says do not arrive before 12:30 on the Friday so assume same rules apply for 28th

 

I was going to aim for around 2pm

There are a couple of exotic non WSCC Speed series entries, a Superbusa supercharged and an XTR2 .

I dont have John Bradshaw down as a Speed Series competitor. Maybe somebody can chat to him and suggests he joins us !! Its free !

Thanks, I was 31, and as you can see it the weather was a bit unpredictable on the Sunday, odd bit of drizzle now and again.   This was my first event and I had a great time, learned a lot.  Top tip don't make a timing strut out of ABS, it snapped off on my first run.  Had 40 mins to fabricate a replacement using an alloy plaque from the gift shop, bolt, cable ties and duct tape.  Big thanks to the marshals who lent me a drill and tin snips.
