Head gear / eyewear

I would also recommend the Wiley's I bought a pair last year as part of a bulk purchase and they are very good.  The seals around the eye stop any wind flow on the eye.  I have a pair of Oakley Minutes which I sometimes use for short journeys but they suffer from more airflow behind the lense.

I have also got a couple of pairs of Harley Davidson sunglasses (bought from ebay), again these are impact resistant. They were very cheap and are handy as a spare set to have in the car.

Just for your info', I got one of the "hard" cases when I bought mine (again, on the other side!;).

Its fine for storage on the garage shelf but is really a bit big to consider using in the car IMHO. It has room for the glasses plus 2 or 3 sets of replacement lenses, with foam cushioning between, so is not exactly compact...... :0

Right, gotcha. Mine just live in the centre console of the Focus atm (unprotected). As a result the lenses have seen better days. I do have the soft case in the car, but it's in the passenger door bin (that's too far away :)).

You gonna do a track day at Llandow this year? I'm hopeing to make one of them...might try to get along to spectate at the SS when it's there too.

If you want to buy some Wileys without resorting to the 'dark side' this site ships to the UK. Wiley XL1 Works out at about £40 at todays exchange rates. Also good for spare lenses etc. :blues:

Hmmm, dunno really..... ???

Still trying to get life fully back on track.......its getting there, but still not 100%  :(

But I fully intend to be at Llandow SS meet again   :)

Have you got any particular track day in mind....??

I've been told that its sometimes possible to get on the track for a days "testing" even without a competition licence (providing they are looking the other way at the time....!!;)

This is about £60 I think - seems a good deal!

Not sure that I would pay full rates for a track day there - its a nice little circuit, but it is little...........

Motorsport Events are doing a few there. Their first one (already happened) was only £69!

Their other two are 26th June, and 11th September (both Saturdays). They've also got a day at Pembrey on June 5th. Llandow days are £119, Pembrey £159.

Got my LSD on now, so want to get it on a track / airfield soon to try it out :). However, there's a little thing called a 'wedding' currently getting in the way of that :)

Hopefully will get on track before June.
