Matt Lucas Posted March 5, 2004 Posted March 5, 2004 We don't have too many options over here and the older Cortinas are getting a bit rare. It won't be too long before every new Clubbie has alloy uprights. Some Locosters are using Holden Gemini uprights, which would probably be an old Opel Kadett or Vauxhall equivalent. Quote
JonnyBoy Posted March 5, 2004 Posted March 5, 2004 What car are those uprights from? i expected better from you sir hubs must have thrown you off there... look lots wider (well.. longer) than my hubs Oh.. Matt.. i'd be inclined to give em a lick of paint mate.. mine went rusty bl**** quickly Quote
John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted March 5, 2004 Posted March 5, 2004 Blatters, If you want some uprights from something more modern with the correct geometry, speak to Ivan at Procomp about his Sierra based uprights for his LA Gold cars. They will fit a Westfield with the correct wishbones. I've been tempted myself a few times. The KPI is spot on using these uprights which is difficult to achieve with cortina jobbies. There are some piccies of what i am on about on his website above. Dickie B has used Ivan to repair his Locost over the winter and I get the impresssion that he is happy with the results from what I have read (not that he has these uprights) John Quote
Matt Lucas Posted March 7, 2004 Posted March 7, 2004 Oh.. Matt.. i'd be inclined to give em a lick of paint mate.. mine went rusty bl**** quickly Two coats of aluminium coloured Hammerite on those already. Perhaps you need more protection back there in the Motherland! We don't get too many wet days here in Western Australia. Quote
