Flying Carrot Steve Posted November 9 Posted November 9 I'm not saying I'm archaic or owt but when I hear CAN and BUS I think of beans and the number 47 into town. 2 Quote
Andrzej Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Since I'm currently fighting my way through the tangle of wires created by the previous builder — and myself (me from a few years ago ) — I can see that such a device, with a single relay box for up to eight outputs and no separate wiring for the control switches, must greatly simplify the construction of the electrical system. As I understand it, from the relay box you’d run one wire to the dipped beam, another to the high beam, a third to the left indicator, a fourth to the right one, a fifth to the reverse light, a sixth to the fog light, a seventh perhaps to a manual radiator fan switch, and an eighth, for example, to the heater fan. Just out of curiosity — are those buttons illuminated so you can tell when a given function is active? Quote
Kit Car Electronics and Essex AO Posted November 9 Posted November 9 (edited) The steering wheel buttons can be back-lit, but only for night time visibility. The active circuits would normally use the standard dash telltales. You can fit an illuminated dash CAN keypad though, which does light up brighter on the active circuits (there can be up to 14 of those) Edit to add a reminder that WSCC members have a 10% discount on my products since the whole business came about through this great club 💙 Edited November 9 by Kit Car Electronics and Essex AO 8 Quote
Popular Post Ewan Posted November 13 Popular Post Posted November 13 Freshly arrived from Burton Power - a set of 4 pot callipers, bigger discs, fast-road pads and braided hoses. Hopefully this’ll make the car stop more quickly than it currently does, still running on the original Cortina callipers, discs and pads fitted by the factory 32 years ago! 11 Quote
Andrzej Posted Friday at 17:12 Posted Friday at 17:12 A few packages arrived today — a kit with Powerlite calipers, Wilwood BP40 pads (I’m hoping they won’t be worse than the DS1.11), 265 mm solid discs, and a few small bits for installing the handbrake. Besides that, a 3.62 differential with a Gripper plate LSD for the MNR. Now I ‘only’ need to put it all together… 4 Quote
SteveB21 Posted Saturday at 11:57 Posted Saturday at 11:57 Some Westfield decals from Zen Graphics to replace the Compomotive ones on my new wheels. Although the current ones do seem to be very well stuck on - might need to borrow a hairdryer to apply some heat… 3 Quote

I've just ordered some of these for my wheels also. Plus some of their other decals, for my Alpine, Lambo and Peugeot. What a useful website that is! Quote
