I am deeply impressed - I've been meaning to pull together a photobook of my build, but still not got round to it, three years later... 1 Quote
BobMet Posted November 1 Posted November 1 Wow, amazing and inspiring. Did you copy the whole diary or filter it? 1 Quote
Morris Posted November 1 Posted November 1 1 hour ago, BobMet said: Wow, amazing and inspiring. Did you copy the whole diary or filter it? Thank you Bob. Yes, I copied and pasted every page in it's entirety directly from the forum (including comments) into a Word document, keeping my text in 'black' and changing club member comments to 'blue'. Tbh, it was an extremely tedious and time consuming process, but I wanted to capture everything. The final couple of pages show the emojis of all the contributors 🙂. After formatting to remove spaces between entries and to get suitable margins, I saved the file to 'pdf' (approximately 94 Mb in size) and sent it off to an internet company be printed. The printing cost less than £100, compared to almost £200 in one of the high street 'specialist' shops. 9 Quote

Very impressive! I’ve been trying to do a brief attempt at an owners/workshop manual for the Midlana. Very difficult to find the motivation tbh. Done about 20 pages so far. 1 Quote

Popular Post Stuart Davis AO - Devon Cornwall & Somerset Posted yesterday at 17:30 Author Popular Post Posted yesterday at 17:30 This little kit arrived today, looking forward to fitting it, although a little daunted by the prospect, hopefully shouldn’t be too tricky 🤞. It’s an 8 channel version so plenty to play with. 10 1 Quote

Flying Carrot Steve Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I've seen this system crop up many times on WSCC, can someone explain in simple terms (yeah go on, laugh your heads off 😂) for the likes of me, what it does please? PS. asking on behalf of a friend 😂 Quote

PS. asking on behalf of a friend 😂 Well it needs to be simple enough for me to understand it! Essentially, if you have a removable steering wheel, it allows control of things like indicators, lights, wipers, horn etc from buttons on the wheel. This is done via a battery powered wireless transmitter on the wheel connected to the buttons, and a relay box receiver (in my case) which generally goes behind the dash and needs to be fitted either alongside or in place of the various controls on the dash or steering column. There are more sophisticated systems involving CAN bus for example but my car is way too basic to need any of that 🤣. 4 1 Quote
