Andrzej Posted Sunday at 15:48 Posted Sunday at 15:48 I've got that repair kit in the boot of my Westfield, but just realized there's nothing in there to actually inflate the tyre if I manage to fix it.. need to look for som compact air compressor. Quote

I got one that takes the same battery as my 18V power tools, cost a bit more but thought it was worth it. 1 Quote
Andrzej Posted Sunday at 16:04 Posted Sunday at 16:04 It is an idea, but I would rather prefer sth for 12V from car , so it can work a long time. For battery one, I not always remember to charge full and will it be sufficient to inflate whole tyre ? For quick set of pressures I use one of this : Suprised how accurate it is , and effortless. But not sure if sufficient battery capacity for whole weel from 0psi. Just ordered some air compressor for 12V from car instalation, small 110x95x47mm. Quote
Flying Carrot Steve Posted Sunday at 17:05 Posted Sunday at 17:05 Given that those cans you can buy that inflate the tyre and insert gunge to seal a leak can supposedly inflate a tyre, you'd think you could buy compressed air cans for emergency tyre inflation wouldn't you? Maybe you can? It would be handy for kit car owners for sure. I don't have a ciggy lighter socket so it's battery powered pump or foot pump for me Quote

I tried 5 of those when I had a complete flat after a screw in the tyre was repaired using a kit like above and it got it to about 5psi. I now carry a small electric compressor adapted from a cigar lighter lead to crock clips. 2 1 Quote

mega ade Posted Sunday at 19:09 Posted Sunday at 19:09 Maybe a small 12v pump and extend the lead add a couple of croc clips and go direct to the battery for those without any 12v auxiliary outlet Quote
Andrzej Posted Sunday at 19:14 Posted Sunday at 19:14 This compressor I have orderd has crock clips included. But when I was building car , have installed ciggarete lighter inside boot , for just in case like this : (voltage gauge seems not usable in boot, but...who knows... ) 2 Quote
Rob Hunter - Club Secretary Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago That reminds me, my wife informed me a couple of weeks ago that the youngest recently "borrowed" the compressor I carry in the Westfield for his pimped up Corsa...... Time for some Amazon shopping therapy as I can guarantee to never to see that particular compressor ever again! 5 Quote
