The next challenge is to remove the bearing and race that are stuck on the hub

I think the bigger challenge is explaining to the wife about removing bearings on the bed spread :d

I purchased a new vice which came today, so I fixed it to the bench. It was to replace the Amazon cheapo cast iron that broke in less than a week!

Broken next to new

Next to my cordless drill, gives you and idea of size

Fuel injection plenum, manifold, loom, sensors, injectors etc arrived today

After doing some research over the last couple of months which came to a conclusion at Autosport International, I will not be using this plenum and set up.

I am still going fuel injection but using a different set up - all will be revealed soon!

@bollockybill - Is this of any use to you before I put it on EBay?

Hi Gary,

Would be interested in the throttle linkage, think I have everything else.

When I collected the kit, the front dampers and springs were seperate

Sometime last week I was having a bit of a tidy up and thought "I might as well put those springs onto the dampers".

So when I extended the damper and tried to put the spring on I realised why they were not on, the springs were longer than the damper when extended by around an inch or so. I had no way or facility to compress them to get them on, and was not sure if they should be compressed anyway.

BUT WHAT A GREAT CLUB WE ARE!

A pm exchange with @DamperMan confirmed that preload on the springs happens a lot. He very kindly offered to fit the springs for me, which he has done and I collected them tonight

Many thanks Tony @DamperMan:yes:, very much appreciated

Have to ask how the hell did you break the vice?

Gary,

I have a rear entry plenum if that’s any use to you.

John.
