Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 Great to see a good mix of cars, sorry for your misfortune Ben, (though also worryingly pleasing to see not just Westfields affected by this issue. Oops! 1 Quote

Popular Post Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative Posted November 13, 2022 Author Popular Post Posted November 13, 2022 We were made very welcome at Quackers after our long absence, which was nice. A surprise visit from little Olivia was a pleasure, and she managed to bring mummy and daddy along too, known to us as @Simon Waterfall Syman84 and Michelle. Here we all are in Quackers cafe. Here are the cars, before Barry and Tom arrived. Unusually we had 2 bike engined cars with us today, which was good because Simon also races his bike engined car in the Speed Series. The bonnets soon came off in the car park, this is what club meets are all about, sharing knowledge and experience in this quite narrow field of expertise. My ideas of taking to the high roads of Buxton were dashed when I realised that we would be spending the day under a blanket of fog. The route, quite frankly, was made up as we went along. We headed West, found some brighter sky, headed for it, circumnavigated it, then decided we would go to a cafe that is normally too busy to get in. The Fountain at Bonsall, near Matlock Bath is a lovely cafe in a tiny village, it was still fairly busy but we just managed to squeeeeeze in. The Bonsall village car park. Barry and Tom had peeled off half way down the Via Gellia road, I hope you got home ok @Baslow. Glynn rang Ben from the cafe and he reported that Ben had made it home safe after signalling that he was turning off. Later we found out that he had broken a wing stay, haven't we all done that. The Fountain cafe, with our only remaining Andrew Cake Meister, the other Andy's have SORN....dirty word that, a dirty word, yuk. Cake Fever is spreading I got it too. Thanks for coming everyone, remember we are out on Saturday next weekend, at the car museum 'gathering' in Ambergate. I am sure we will tag a run out in search of cake afterwards, see you then x ON SATURDAY SATURDAY 14 Quote
