Baz456
Hi all, This is my first post since acquiring a 2017 SEiW. My first question is about the cost of what we used to call the road fund licence. I checked on some sites which told me it would be £165. However, when I taxed my car on the government website it came up as £295! I assume this is the amount you are all paying or have I done something horribly wrong?! Martyn Vann - Warwickshire AO
As a Westfield is IVA'd it does not have to meet the full type approval and therefore does not have a CO2 output in g/km. It falls into tax class 11 which is £295 for over 1549cc.
Robin Parker (Red Spider) - Yorkshire AO
No, you've not done anything wrong, that's what I pay too.
Baz456
Many thanks for your responses. Interestingly, when I owned a C6 Corvette a few years ago the tax was not much over £200.
Martin Bell - (Bellyboy) Joint East Anglia AO
Hi baz. Welcome to the forum and westy life. It may cost a bit on road tax but every mile with a smile is well worth it. Bellyboy
