corsechris
As per title, WHY? For conversion to manual so don't care about condition of hydraulics, only rack bar and pinion. TFL
TAFKARM
I suspect NA and NB are the same Chris if that helps….
corsechris
I confess I’m not sure what the relationship between Mk1/Mk2 and NA/NB is….bit I do know that the NB (‘98 to ‘05) has a different mounting arrangement next to the pinion so may not fit. The later one has cast-in mounts, the early one is a saddle clamp. To avoid having to mod the chassis, I really need to stick with the Mk1/NA type (AFAIK) …unless someone can definitively state that they are interchangeable of course. Be good actually, there seem to be plenty of the later ones about at sensible prices. Bit more digging, no, sadly, NA it has to be as mount spacing and bolt size is different. Appreciate the thought though.

corsechris
Not at all….hadn't thought of that - too many unknowns. Time for a new question then Do NB PAS internals fit an NA manual rack casing?
